When inputting rate info, it defaults to cents (even if £ is selected as the symbol). In the UK we use pounds and pence. We are charged based on a standing (daily) charge plus your total usage at the kWh rate. Example £0.40/day standing charge and £0.29 per kWh. The app obviously has the ability to recognise the standing charge if you are with one of the US utility companies listed (none in the UK), so why not allow this data to be input manually? It is impossible to use the app to calculate your actual electricity charge – only the kWh usage – in the UK.
