I was attempting to keep the web app open as a dashboard of sorts, however it times out after 20 minutes.  Is it possible to set this timer to a higher amount?

I id try a page refresh app, but it resets the page to display the emporia device itself without the individual circuits.  – Same result you get when you refresh the home page where it only shows the top line item of the Vue without individual circuits showing.

      I have the same question.

I have to monitor my power consumption whole day, 20 minutes timeout on Mobile App or Web App is annoying.

      Please advise.

Seems this forum is not watched or moderated by emporia personnel.

At this time there isn’t a way to keep the page open and active.

I believe data is retained longer and/or updated more frequently while the app is open. Which is probably a reason they won’t change this. Increasing the timeout would mean putting a heavier load on the servers.

Our retention policy does not change based on the app being open or not.  We do buffer devices on the seconds resolution when the app is not open, while the data is still being captured it is stored on the device not in the cloud for short periods of time.

Hello everyone, so yeah this is a bummer, I’m retired senior electronics and communications technician with over 50 years on the fields. I like to sit in my chair and monitor all the systems in my house, seems like Emporia is doing the same thing as any other cloud based service product. This is in my opinion a flaw, since you won’t have updated/current data in the event of an extended power outage. I have an Enphase PV system and they are also cloud based, this is one issue they have, when their servers have problems you are left in de the dark, happens quite a bit in our locality too and this is when you really need the service most. I use Emporia to monitor energy consumption during power outages is it the main reason why I bough it, since I have solar power generation it should work on my end but not sure if I will be able to get the current data if the cloud service goes down. There should always be a way to acquire your data locally. Just my 2 cents.
