      Hi:

I’m a big fan of the Emporia ecosystem and have Vue systems and smartplugs in two locations (my home + rental).  It would be nice that in addition to turning Smart Plugs on/off based on a schedule or timer, I’d like to be able to turn the plugs on/off based overall power consumption.

In other words, a rule that would allow me to turn an outlet ON if net power consumption is negative -2KW (because of solar generation) for 15 minutes and OFF if net power consumption drops below -0.5KW would allow me to consume some of excess solar I’m not using right now (because I haven’t replaced my gas car with an EV or my HVAC/water heater with heatpumps yet).  I can get “close” to the right consumption by setting a schedule (for the daylight hours) but triggering these devices when there’s actual solar would be even more convenient (esp when there are overcast days and power generation becomes more variable).

Thanks for the consideration; this is a great ecosystem of smart devices so I’m hoping Emporia does what they can to make it even better.
