I saw on the State of Charge youtube channel that the Emporia EV charger needs to be hardwired to charge at 48A. I’m having a dedicated 60A circuit put in for my garage and was planning on connecting it to a 240V outlet in case I want to easily replace my charger in the future. Would it be possible to set the charger to charge at 48A using the 240V outlet, or is there a reason why it tops out at 40A?

ah, answering my own question, it looks like it’s because the outlets top out at 50A
