Android, app ver 2.4.07.2407, Gen 2 Vue, Smart Plug bought in Sept 2020
Steps to reproduce
1. Go through app’s process to set up a Smart Plug. Only steps pertinent to the issue are listed here.
2. Give it a name.
3. Pick Nesting and then Main (the mains sensors/CTs).
4. Finish the setup.
5. Go to Home and the plug is nested under Main, but it’s name has been changed to the name you gave to your Vue!
Easy workaround is you can go to Manage Devices, select this renamed Smart Plug, and rename it again and it stays.
Should be an easy code fix.
