For circuits that have 2 lines (like 240v AC or appliances) I have 3 options that I know of

      1. Measure each line separately and just have 2 readings in my app, one for each line
      2. Measure only 1 line and use a 2x multiplier
      3. Run both wires thru a single senor in parallel (but only if they were on the same phase otherwise they will cancel each other out)

Is there any way to have 2 lines from DIFFERENT phases run thru the same sensor? I don’t want to use a multiplier (some of the items I want to combine don’t draw the same power on each phase) but I want each item to only appear ONCE in my circuit list.

Short of waiting for Emporia to allow multiple circuits to be combined into a single reading, do I have ANY options here?

In 1F-3W system, like 120-240 volts, each hot wire is displaced 180 degrees, so if you want to measure those two wires with a single CT the magnetic flux of the wires will cancel each other.

But, to sum the current of these two wires, you need to hook up backwards one of them to put it in the same phase (time displacement), this way you can add the two phases. Note, that this will not work on system energized by a 3 PH transformer (208/120 or 220/127 volts).

Try it, and please tell me if this work for you.
