electrican hooked up the wires to power it, but I placed it in ?

 

is it ok that unit is co close to the breakers and that once panel will be closed it will be touching front panel ?

for the main circuit I installed probes on both black wires with arrow pointing away from the MEATER

Looks fine.  No problem that the Vue 2 will press against the front cover.

It can get much more messy when you use the 16 circuit sensors also, or if you have multiple Vue 2’s and use 32 sensors for a big panel.
