I live in a place where there are frequent outages for both power and internet. Does the Vue-2 store consumption data locally and update the server when connectivity is restored? Otherwise, large chance of missing data/consumption information…wondering how reliable the readings will be.
At the moment, Emporia does not offer local device access or an API at the moment. The Vue 2 Energy Monitor needs a constant 2.4 GHz WiFi connection to be able to capture and transfer real-time data to our cloud and the Emporia app.
Although the Vue does not record data locally, it is supposed to keep track of the consumption, and account for it when the connection comes back, so the total is correct.
But the details are lost
