      Emporia App Update!

Emporia App Version 2.0.2.209 is available today in the App Store and Google Play! Here’s what’s new:

      Increased Circuit Name Character Limit

We’ve increased the limit for the circuit names to 24 characters. You can change the names of your circuits by going to Settings > Manage Devices > Vue and Circuits > Circuit Name. These new names can be seen on both the Home page and the circuit selector on the Graphs page. Depending on the size of your screen, the app will truncate these names to ensure they fit on the page.

      International Timezone and Postal Codes

The app now supports 28 time zones from around the world. So whether you are in Colorado, Bangladesh, or Newfoundland, the Emporia app will display your energy use in your local time. Additionally, we’ve increased the zip code limit to 10 characters and allowed for numbers and letters. Both of these can be changed in Settings > Household Info

      Marty’s Tips and Tricks

There are two ways to monitor a 240V dual pole/two leg circuit:
Use ONE sensor on one leg of the circuit. Then, enter a multiplier of 2 to double its reading in the app under Settings > Manage Devices > Vue and Circuits > Circuit Name. This might be slightly inaccurate since the load may not be symmetrical, but the difference is negligible.
Use TWO sensors on each hot leg of the circuit if your concerned about accuracy.
