Emporia Vue Gen2 suddenly offline

Hello,

Emporia Vue Gen2 has been running well for months then suddenly on the 16th of May went offline. I have tried rebooting the box to no avail. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Power off the Vue 2, then power off your router.  Restore power to your router, wait for your network to come back up, then turn back on the Vue 2.  This worked for me – something about the Vue 2 not releasing ports and then the router running out.

I’ve had similar problems but in my case, I have timers which power cycle the cable modem and another the main router at 4am separated by a minute .  The Vue1 I have and the newer Vue2 as well don’t play nice after that. I eliminated both power cycle devices and the VUE will stay online.  Otherwise doing a wifi setup on the VUE, bluetooth connects, it sees the wifi network I have with solid signal but never gets through to the emporia server. I plan to put things back a piece at a time and lengthen the off time to make sure the cable modem comes up cleanly first, before a power cycle of the router.   (Can only power cycle the VUE at the breaker and usually that did not solve the problem anyways.
