Last year I bought a house primarily heated by two unvented propane space heaters. They worked, and they got CO2 levels up to some 3000 ppm. (And CO levels stayed at 0 ppm.)

This year I replaced them with a direct-vented propane space heater (Rinnai would prefer I call it a wall mounted furnace) and a mini-split air sourced heat pump. Then added an Emporia Vue to begin learning about them.

Emporia’s cell phone app is kinda of cute, but has limitations, e.g. scrolling for data, printing it and graphs, especially graphing related channels or bringing in my weather station data as outside temperature has a big impact on home heating.

So far, it looks like plotting a week’s worth of data, integrated over each day to readily show kWh looks interesting. I haven’t gotten the temperature data mixed in, I hoped to have that going today. Instead, I put what I have on a web page, see http://wermenh.com/emporia/

Welcome to the forum Ric! It’s so exciting to see how you are using the energy data and integrating other data points. We are a small team, with limited resources. We are working on many feature enhancements and App improvements are on our roadmap, but right now we don’t have a specific release dates. We appreciate your feedback and hope you understand that we’re working very hard to prioritize the many enhancements that have been requested.

I know the “delights” of a small team. I haven’t had a chance to send you my ranking of suggestions (or my own). Graphs like mine should be low on your list, that’s one reason I went straight to my own software. Besides, I could reuse some the code I wrote for displaying data from my weather station. And I won’t have time to add temperature data for a couple weeks myself.

@Ric Werm, thanks again for you reply and thoughts on the priority. We prioritize based on our customers feedback and look forward to seeing your recommendations. Please send them over to info@emporiaenergy.com, when you have a chance.

      Best,
      Marty
