Notifications (iOS)

Hi,

I am a new Emporia customer. I have a Vue 2 ready to be installed in our new home, but in the meantime, I grabbed a 4 pack of the smart outlets to play with.

I swear last week in the notifications section of the app there was a way to set up an alert based on usage. However, after the app update I can’t seem to find it. Am I going crazy, or was it removed?

Hey @shaun,

Notifications should still be there in the app (under the Settings menu, upper left corner of app). Let us know at the support channels (chat, email, phone) if you’re still having issues and we can troubleshoot your account specifically.

I have never been able to configure a notification on plugs, only the vue. Are notifications triggered by plugs supposed to be available?

Ah, maybe I saw them when I was signed into the demo account. I’ll check again once our Vue gets installed into the new house. Thanks!

It’s not possible to add alerts for the smart outlets. There are some very important use cases for this:

• Fridge/deep freeze does not turn on for x hours (smart switch off, cable unplugged, compressor failure, etc)
• Fridge/deep freeze is on for more than x hours (door left open, etc)
