I’m experiencing some weirdness with my Vue2 and wondering if anyone here has seen similar. Support/Live chat has been great, so still not getting expected functionality. Short form is I think there is something wrong with the on board connectors not making good contact. Basically multiple circuits that I *know* there is draw on is steadfastly reading 0, but when I go to fiddle with it, presto, I get a reading on those circuits, but others will drop out. Emporia has already replaced the unit, and the connectors do seem tighter….but…. Still a bunch of circuits not reading. Any good tricks?

Have you tried swapping CTs to different ports to see if the problem follows the CT or occurs on a specific port? If you have a problematic CT, obviously replacing the Vue wouldn’t fix the problem.
I just started installing this week and haven’t had any problems, but obviously it hasn’t been very long either

Tried different CTs, tried different ports. Measured resistance of apparently ‘faulty’ CT (I think it was a out 50 ohms). Same Port sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t….its just…weird.

Indeed that seems strange and I’m usually of the mind that the likelihood of 2 faulty units seems unlikely, unless they have a bunch of them, in which case there would be many complaints on this forum.
can you ask support if they tested your first returned unit? If they offer to replace it again, perhaps they’d check the return closely for manufacturer defects.
as a new Vue owner myself, I’d like to hear how it goes with support and what the outcome is. As you mentioned previously their support seems to be prompt and thorough.
good luck

Do you have a photo of your install? US 120/240V installation, or 3 phase or 240V single phase? How did you power the Vue 2 with the specific wires (not all are typically used)? Can you better describe what specifically isn’t reading right? Is the mains values current, and just an issue with a few circuits? Photo of your app screen? With that info, usually someone can help here.
A few basic points…
1) CT clamps must be fully latched. If not, they can impact (and be affected) by other circuits.
2) Less than about 8-10W of power are forced to zero by the app. So if you are trying to read a circuit with low-ish power (say a circuit with just a cell phone charger), the circuits wouldn’t read anything – but the mains clamps will be correct for the total household draw.
