We here adopted the TP-Link KASA Smart Device implementation here: Currently, many of our devices are smart switches that control lighting circuits. We LOVE the KASA app. We’ver already gone to LED in most locations, but some of these switches control fans as well lights to ventilate barns. (If the light is on the fans are running). We also use about 10 KASA Camera devices that use a 110VAC- 5W transformer to scale down the 15A circuit in DC. To be able to integrate and monitor the activity and usage of KASA smart switch power would be phenomenally useful.

Hi @mp-ranger, We hear lots of great things about KASA. Emporia will be working providing an accessible API and many integrations in the coming months that will allow many devices to either connect directly or through IFTTT to your Vue. Thanks for your support!

New customer here. I just picked up a Vue Utility Connect energy monitor along with some Emporia smart plugs. Everything is working pretty well for me so far and I like how I’m able to nest the plugs under the monitor. However, I’d love to see an integration with some of the other energy monitoring plugs such as Kasa. I already have about 15 Kasa energy monitors and it would be awesome if I could pull that data into the Emporia app.

Is there any update to adding KASA integration? I’m coming from Sense, but even outside of Sense, KASA is a great plug. Integrating with it would be very beneficial since they are used by many who started out with more simple energy management.

@marty-emporia any update on if this is still on the roadmap and if we can expect to see it any time soon?
I was just looking at my app today and noticed how much of my power usage falls under “Balance”. I was confused where all the power usage is coming from for a minute before I remembered a lot of my stuff is still on Kasa plugs. I have actually been converting a lot of things over but I Emporia doesn’t have a good solution to replace the power strip that Kasa has. Until then, I’ll never be able to move over to Emporia only devices.
