I am wanting to set an alert to warn me when I am close to reaching the maximum output for my generator. My generator backfeeds into my load center through two circuits using an interlock kit. The 2 backfeed circuits each have their own circuit monitor. Thus, I want an single alert to warn me when I am reaching a power draw 2500 watts for example. Setting 2 separate alerts for the 2 generator circuits will not work in my situation. They will often have unequal power draws on each phase and won’t work in my situation where I need an alert for the total of the 2 circuits exceeding a specified threshold.
I know one option is to place the main monitors on the generator inputs during a power outage which would allow me to set a threshold alert for the mains. However, I want to avoid doing this for a multiple reasons.
I don’t see this capability in the app, but may be missing something. Can anyone advise if there is the ability to set a usage threshold alert for 2 circuits combined?
