Since the maximum number of circuits on the Gen 2 is 16 – Myself and other users are using smart plugs to expand the number of things we can monitor. Here is my issue and there is probably a simple solution. The Plugs in the app on the home screen show up with a power button and the Icon is a Plug.. Some of these plugs I do not want to be able to turn off accidentally.
-Can the power button for the smart plugs be configured to NOT show up on the home screen as to not accidentally hit it?
-Can the Smart plugs be given the same icon selections as the current sensor? Eg. I have one plug for my Clothes washer, and there is an icon for washers/dryer BUT the smart plug defaults to a Plug icon and it can’t be changed…

I second this.
In addition to making on/off OPTIONAL in the app, turning it off should also disable the hard button on the device.
There is s strong reason for this: You can use smart sockets for circuits that only have one device on them, so you spare one of the 16 probes for that. But those circuits tend to be critical devices …. fridge, sump pump, garage overhead door. You don’t want your very non-critical monitoring function to disable your highly critical device function.
Ideally you would sell a “not so smart socket” … that just does monitoring and nothing else.

Yeah I have a circuit with a Microwave and and entire network center on it. (I.E. Router, Nas, Network switch etc) So instead on one current sensor on the breaker I have two smart plugs on the outlet. One for the microwave and one for the Battery backup which all the network stuff is plugged into. Thankfully if I accidentally turn off the smart plug the battery keeps the network running but it would be a disaster if it didn’t.

WAIT.. I just thought of another thing while we are on this topic.. Can you add the ability to SUBTRACT a smart plug usage from the usage of a specified circuit?

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I believe the plug consumption is subtracted from the circuit under which it is nested.</p>

Oh Cool. It breaks it out when you nest it. I had them in the main.
