All 3 lights on my Vue: Utility Connect are green, but the app is showing 0, and the Home Assistant integration says the api url is returning 500: Internal Server Error.

Hi.
I have a same issue.
Probably there is a problem in the server.

I just came here to check it wasn’t me – I’m guessing their backend is down as I’ve had no data since 06:34 UTC

Same here. It’s a shame emporia has to rely on the cloud to function. My Solar Assistant sends directly to Homeassistant via mqtt. It would be brilliant if emporia could do the same. I really need to look for an alternative.

Hello same here (France for me)
An another reason to work in local instead of cloud….
I’m not able to compare my solar production vs my needs, i’m blind now.

Completely agree…There should be an Emporia Software solution for local in Home/Shop
monitoring without the need for the ‘CLOUD’

Same here (Portugal).
I am seriously considering replacing the firmware with esphome
https://github.com/emporia-vue-local/esphome
My dashboard has changed to default sensors for sec,min and hour.

Yes – me too – eastern US.
Good news is it’s the first time I can recall a cloud problem in the year I’ve had it.
Hopefully it’s just an outage and not a sign that the service is folding.

I installed a second Vue 2 last night in a subpanel and as soon as I connected it to the web, both the new Vue 2 and the main one in my main panel started showing zero data on seconds and minutes, and not showing the sensors. Hoping this is just a cloud problem that some people are seeing now. There should be no other reason for my first Vue 2 in the main panel to stop working due to the subpanel one.

The app has been down for 10-12 hours. Come on Emporia IT folks! At least acknowledge there’s a problem and tell the community you’re working on it.

Same with me: don’t see any data in the app, and only a couple of my circuits are displayed. Also Eastern US.

I’ve noticed that the firmware replacement on Github is now for the Gen 2 units. I have 3 Gen 1 units (lots of circuits). Does anyone know if the replacement firmware is the same for both and the Github just lists the Gen 2 because it’s the current version? I used to think very highly of these Emporia units, but the refusal by the company to allow for a local API is ridiculous. It’s also ridiculous that they came out with a gen 2 version of the units, still using the little “headphone” type plugs for the sensors. I had been told by their support people that Gen 2 was going to use BNC connectors…they lied. I’m now very interested in flashing my units with the ESPhome firmware as this outage is BS. I can also so without hesitation that I would now NEVER recommend this company’s products to my friends.

Same issue in Canada. I also have their EV charger. Thankfully I can still control it. The app does not show the energy usage but the car does show it’s charging. Hopefully this outage is fixed soon.

Following. Same issue. Glad it’s the first time I experienced this after many years, hopefully isolated incident.

Back to normal here (Canada) as well. Thanks for the Fix. Would like to
Know what caused the App to go down.

Just so they see this, I couldn’t access my EV charger during the outage. Luckily I didn’t need to charge. Emporia, maybe make it an option for the charger to default to on when the internet or cloud connection is missing.
