Subpanel and Solar suggestions

Hi All,

Recently bought a Emporia Vue 2 system, and looking  for suggestions on how to best install it.

I have a solar setup, some on my house, connected to the main panel.  There’s also some on the garage, connected to a subpanel.

I one vue 2 monitor, with 16 sensors, and some smart plugs.   Fundamentally, I want to monitor my internal usage, not so much monitor the solar production.

I was  thinking I could just wire  the sensors in the main panel, and use the smart plugs to monitor a couple plugs from the garage.

How can I ensure the 2 different solar  feeds do not create wrong readings in the system?  If I do not hook any sensors to the subpanel or inverter  feeds, will this work?  Or do I need a another vue system on the subpanel?

If your vue is monitoring the grid input output, but is it not monitoring all the breakers below that, then the balance with never be good.

There is no way to account for the solar production if it is not monitored….
