In some cases much shorter sensor cables could be used in the circuit breaker box. If shorter cabling was available this would eliminate excess cabling in the circuit breaker box – especially when using all 16 sensors. Ideally it would be advantageous to be able to cut the cables to required length, but this would require easily installed cable ends at the Emporia Vue monitor.

@Gerald thanks for your feedback on the length of the sensor cable as it relates to space in the panel.   I will definitely bring this up to our hardware team.

Or perhaps you could make the cables cut-to-length customizable. The 3.5mm connector is not great for this but perhaps you smart guys can figure something out. Or at least it could be changed for Generation 3 by abandoning the 3.5mm connector for something like a push terminal or a screw lug connector.

Yes please!! My main panel looks hideous due to its awkward shape and the abundant amount of cabling going on in there.

In the meantime for us handy folks, can you please put out a wiring diagram of the 3.5mm jack male end connected to the CT so we can shorten the wires ourselves? I need to revisit my cable management.

Also, the idea of a longer, rectangular device again please! No more body square. I can hardly fit the monitor in my panel as a square, but as a rectangle like your old gen 1 style, it would fit like a glove (minus the crazy long cables).
