I am interested in monitoring usage of some key areas of the house, but there are two subpanels in the house that are fed by 60 amp circuits, and my HVAC is a package unit that is also fed by a 60 amp circuit.

The Vue 3 sensors say they only go to 50 amps. Is there no other recourse here? I understand someone could say to put another monitor with the subpanels, but that would be overkill on both of them, as they don’t feed anything ultra-significant. However, that still would not address the HVAC unit, which wouldn’t provide any possibility of doing so that I can see.

I am not from emporia but the answer to this question which comes up sometimes is that if the CTs fit your wires, they work up higher than 60A. Perhaps not quite as accurate, and readings eventually hit a cap (75A) but don’t cause damage. Also the breaker may end up being larger than you’d ever actually draw.  See https://help.emporiaenergy.com/en/articles/9084138-ct-s-sensors-how-do-they-work
