Sorry to say never properly resolved so I returned the unit to Amazon and got a refunded
purchased – https://iotawatt.com/
which is better as all data is locally stored with no need for cloud accessSeptember 9, 2022 at 6:37 am in reply to: Eating lots of data – leaving the App open in a browser eat 35GB of data #8860 Report AbusefclausonMemberIGNORE THE ABOVE
I miss interpreted who was eating data – it was my PC which suddenly divided it needed to refresh 95Gb of google drive data – but did not do this in one go – it sort of did it in chunks

September 6, 2022 at 3:53 pm in reply to: Combined Solar and Battery unit – Huawei #8855 Report AbusefclausonMemberWith a little bit of fab support this has now been resolved and we have it working as I wish
great job to the support team at Emporia
September 4, 2022 at 9:23 pm in reply to: Reverse engineer a replacement heat pump size based on KW and degree days #8849 Report AbusefclausonMemberCan I suggest you do a Passive House Calculation – look at saving energy before replacing a heating unit

fclausonMemberthanks – here in Ireland (same as UK) 240V single phase to the house
RCD was tripping on first install
as suggested – there are two neutral buses – one direct from grid – a second downstream of RCD (or whatever they
are called nowerdays)
connecting the black lead down stram of RCD and the others on the grid tripped the RCD (i.e. working as it should)so thanks for the fix above – all working now
September 4, 2022 at 5:38 pm in reply to: Combined Solar and Battery unit – Huawei #8846 Report AbusefclausonMembercannot edit previous post – not actually working
I thought it would but it gets confused when the PV is supplying more than the house needs so across clamp B you have say 5kw – house uses 3kw should allow clamp A to show export of 2kwany advice if I can get this working ?
September 4, 2022 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Combined Solar and Battery unit – Huawei #8844 Report AbusefclausonMemberHere is a diagram showing what I’ve done – and it works
Mains can feed house and/or PV/battery
VUE does not give PV / battery stats but you get that from the Huawei Fusion Solar tool
This is a 250V – single phase system – based in Ireland
(No re-wire needed there was enough slack in the fuse board to accommodate what I wanted to do

September 4, 2022 at 7:56 am in reply to: Combined Solar and Battery unit – Huawei #8841 Report AbusefclausonMemberI think I might have answered my own question
I think I need to use one of the 200A clamps and configure my wiring so that
Clamp A goes on the inbound from the grid
Clamp B goes on the inbound from the inverter
To do this I will need my electrician to do a minor bit of reconfig in the box
Here in Ireland not like you have shown in your diagrams, things like PV need to be inside the master breaker and inside their own breaker
So I need to be a bit clever and put Clamp A inside the master breaker on the lead to the other circuits but not on the circuit to PV/battery and Clamp B on the feedback from its own breaker
Before I get the electrician back can you confirm?
