Yes to this, as well. Emporia, if you made a self-hosted version an option (docker, Home Assistant, etc.) … you would gain a tremendous amount of followers.
I purchased simply because it is the best pricepoint. The required internet was nearly a dealbreaker (Had there been any other simple alternative, I would not be here). Heck, I’d even pay a bit more money to NOT have to use internet. Maybe a self-host license fee (like Blue Iris).
You would become THE de facto for DIYers on so many levels.
