Okay, I see now…   Yes, these breakers that feed the sub-panels DO indeed support load within these “uplink” breakers (i.e. not just solar).

So for clarification (and to help me fully understand), what would be the outcome if these breakers WERE dedicated solely to solar inverters?  I assume from your description, that this would be the way in which it would indeed work?  Is this right?  If so, is there ANY way to make this happen in the meantime (while waiting for bi-directional 50A CT’s).

My name is Jason Paluszak.  My wife Chyan and I live in Eaton Rapids, MI.  We bought the Emporia Vue2 16-sensor system just the other day, and so far are truly enjoying it!  We formerly used EyeDro (for a few years now) but we recently added a solar generation system to our home and EyeDro is just not going to work for us any longer (neither functionally, and moreover not per our budget!)
