My utility company shows how much energy I use compared with similar homes in my area. I was using 50% more energy than the average home in my area! I bought this energy monitor to help me understand why I used so much energy. Most of the problem turned out to be with a broken HVAC actuator and an installation mistake. After fixing those issues and making a few tweaks around the house, I now use 25% less energy than the typical home in my area!
