I sorta understand your question but also I’m confused.
Are you trying to use the Emporia on the commercial side of the incoming utility power? Or you asking about the setup in the condo itself? Some times there are misunderstandings of electricity terminology.

I went through multiple problems trying to get my SmartPlugs to connect. I kept getting stuck at that process of “Updating” and it would just hang. After getting frustrated I just gave up on the last two. The next day those two were connected and all four are fine. I posted my experience here somewhere.April 17, 2021 at 4:39 am in reply to: Appliance-specific labeling (not just circuit-specific) #7293 Report Abuse
I have my entire panel on a spreadsheet. But, since the description field is so tiny I’m not able to identify what is on the general circuits as reported by Emporia. I have 2 units in my panel so most of the important circuits are monitored.
Maybe adding a “Back” button cost too much.
I really like the stuff but I sometimes wonder what meeting was skipped.
They have settings for:
- Gallons Of Gas
- Car Miles
BUT not enough of the circuit types…..makes no sense at all.
I also installed BlueStacks just for this purpose. It works just fine.
I’d probably buy more Smart Plugs from Emporia if I could see and control them in my SmartThings Hub.
I agree completely.
I’m ok with a few words to describe the circuit but if there was a “button” to click that would open up a popup window that has whatever I typed in as a text box. I have every circuit in my house on a detailed spreadsheet. Some circuits have 9 things in that circuit. Some of those are not even related to the basic location. I have a relative that has 23 items on one circuit.
I seem to remember that this “could be” in an app upgrade. It was said, by Emporia, that the amount of information shown is based on the device. I’m on a tiny Android phone so hardly anything is displayed. I even installed Bluestacks to emulate on my desktop. Same thing, very limited information showing. It is not like you can scroll across to read the whole line.
I seem to remember that when there is a power loss, the Emporia averages whatever was going on before the power outage and makes that the power outage consumption. I’m not sure I agree with that.
Right on…right on.
Hey it looks like you fixed this!
I’ve been away from here for some time. Kinda got into overload with it so I moved onto other projects. I’m here now after-hours so all I see the the “bubble”. Not bad I guess…….2 months.April 17, 2021 at 3:46 am in reply to: Emporia limiting minute data to 3 day starting march 1st #7283 Report Abuse
Local storage & access on the units please
The adding of an SD card has been mentioned elsewhere here but there is no activity on it that I’m aware of. I’d be willing to pay a pinch more for that feature.
4 days later and no feedback………hummm
I have 3 of the “smart plugs” but I have not spent the time digging into the details. Maybe I should put on a pot of coffee and start looking.
Be careful Chevelka, the marketing wizards at Emporia will start hawking their monitoring system to Miners and charge a premium and you may not get an over-ride…..HAHA
