Are sensors required? Also…

– I know it may seem like a silly question but, if I have a Vue 2 with several sensors available, are ALL the sensors required to be used?

– Can the main service main sensors be used by themselves to get those readings alone?

– Can I monitor just a couple of individual circuits as well as the full usage of the mains?

In other words, will I only get the full metering of all power being used if I put a sensor on every circuit so that they can all be added up to display the full usage of power? I’d like to know the total amount of power being used but I only need to see the individual readings of 2-3 circuits.

Not all sensors need to be used.  Plug in what you want to measure – mains only, circuits only, or a combination.  If you want to know your full household draw, you need the mains.  Any circuit sensors are then optional for more info on those exact draws, and the app will show you a balance figure for the unaccounted for draw of the unmonitored circuits.
