The reverse of quetions I’ve seen — I have several outlets pigtailed together onto a single breaker (actually a pair in an MWBC configuration) — can I put a CT on each of the individual runs (rather than on the pigtail that’s connected to the breaker) so that I can report each outlet individually?   Background: this is a shop, and each position was wired with 12/3 to support either a pair of 120V outlets or a single 240V outlet, depending on the machine at that location.   Currently, they’re all 120V, so the electrician wired 3 pairs of outlets to each 2-pole breaker.   If/when positions are converted to 240, they’d be moved to dedicated breakers; in the meantime, I have 12 120V outlets that I’d like to be able to  monitor individually.

That seems reasonable to me, as long as you don’t ALSO put a CT on the combined conductor.

Hi! Sure, you can monitor each leg no problem! Just add a 50A CT per leg and you will have data from each leg separated. The sensors should be placed in the legs, before the bridge wire.
