      Hi,

I’d like to ask for a little clarification on how to set the Billing Date. I’ve been a VUE2 user since Feb 2023 and each month the usage in Emporia differs from what is shown on my electric bill.  Happily though, the actual billed usage shows less than the app.

Attached below is a screenshot with highlights of my latest bill, due for payment on 10/20 as well as vue2 usage (with current Billing Date set to the 20th). I’ve also tried the 19th and 21st but no matter what I set to, my Vue2 usage is higher in the range of 50-100 kwh higher.

Can someone take a look at my attached bill and offer any advice or insight?

      Thank you!

I think the problem most of us will have (I’m in the same boat), is that the utility company seems to randomly choose how many days are in a billing cycle.  Your last bill shows 27 days, your next month might be 30.

I think the solution would be more around selectable reporting, which isn’t presently available in the app.  i.e., choose the start date and end date for usage charts.  The current selections are very limiting in the emporia app.  Your best bet may be to export out the raw data and then run your own reports on exact dates.

Thanks for the reply MattS.  That sounds like a viable solution. I also contacted my provider (NYSEG) and switched to customer readings. This will give me better control over the billing cutoff. Hopefully submitting readings myself on the same day each month will lock in my billing cycle with my VUE2 configuration moving forward.

      Best!

Hi, please contact support directly with your account email and/or device serial number so we can check the usage for this time period.

You can also download the usage to CSV for that specific date range.
