      Emporia App Update

Emporia App Version 1.6.6.108 is available today in the App Store and Google Play! Here’s what’s new:
      2-pole Breaker

      Multi-Pole Circuits Multiplier

      • Find the multiplier by going to Settings > Vue Management > Vue and Circuits and then choosing your circuit
      • You can then input a multiplier for an individual circuit. The default multiplier is 1. If you’d like to use one sensor on a 240V 2-pole breaker, you can change this to 2 (or a more precise decimal multiplier if you need).

      Emporia App Net Metering

      Net Metering for Solar Generation

Emporia Vue now supports net metering and will show when your system is generating excess energy vs consuming load on all the Home Page Graphs. Here’s what you need to get started:

      • Your Vue serial number must start with 0001. If yours starts with 0000, it is not compatible. Don’t worry! We’ll replace it free. Just send us an email.
      • Ensure that your 200A sensors are installed to measure directionality. There are small ‘L’ and ‘K’ letters on the sensor bottoms. The ‘L’ must go toward the load (toward your breakers) and the ‘K’ (and the Emporia logo on the front of the clamp) must go toward the utility (toward the electric meter). Remember to be careful that your service mains are always dangerously energized.
      • You need to go through the Setup again. Make sure you’re in Bluetooth range of your Vue. In the Emporia App go to Settings > Manage Devices, choose the Vue that you want to net meter, and click Reset Vue. Once you get past the time zone picker, you’ll see a screen to setup your Vue for solar. Choose Configure Solar. Then, follow the instructions on the following page to set the polarity to set whether you’re generating excess energy vs consuming load.
