Matter Compliance

Did not find in the Emporia Community anything yet about whether any or all of our existing devices will be Matter compliant. Can someone please advise?

Emporia is aware of the specification that was published on 4 October 2022.  We are reviewing the possibility of pursuing certification.

I would love it if I had a way of locally monitoring this with my smart home software!

I know there are a number of us using home assistant and having a matter version would go a long way in reducing cloud dependence and instilling trust that this device won’t fully become inoperable like happened with Insteon.

Hey @psychicsword, in case you didn’t know, it is unofficially possible to use the Vue with Home Assistant, cloud-free.
