It seems that the “Oven on too long” doesn’t go by actual minutes in use, but rather how many hour-long blocks it touches?

      Test:

      – turn on oven 10 minutes before the top of the hour (say 5:50pm)

      – turn off 10 minutes AFTER the top of the hour (say 6:10pm)

      – warning generated because it was on during 2 consecutive 1-hour blocks (e.g. the 5-6pm block and the 6-7pm block)

I can’t attest to the exact number of minutes that triggers this behavior, but the oven is ALWAYS OFF when I check, and family members confirm that the oven was on much shorter than 2 hours.

This alarm is USELESS this way – and a legal liability because it’s wrong, and people will ignore it.

The alarm wording is BIZARRE, too “met the threshold for 2 consecutive hours”?

WHY NOT JUST SAY “The oven has been on for XXX minutes”??

Yeah that does seem like a bad implementation. Could you just set it to report after 3 hours? That way it has to be on at least 60 minutes before it can trip.
