Many of my smart plugs will randomly reboot themselves.  This is irritating on such items as TV’s and other appliances with electronic on/off switches.  I am uncertain what is causing this.  Do the smart plugs routinely (and frequently) receive firmware updates and subsequently reboot?  If so, honestly I wish it would stop.  Is there another cause?

Unfortunately I think you are struggling with the same problem a lot of us are. Do you happen to have multiple wireless access points in your house? I’ve found that anytime the smart plugs drop WiFi and then reconnect they will reboot causing everything to power off briefly. I have a fairly large house with multiple WAPs and have even assigned my wireless controller to force the device to stay connected to the closest AP but it seem to make any difference. It’s gotten so bad at my house I’ve had to remove them from any equipment that I care about as I can’t risk all the continued reboots and destroying my “stuff”. I reached out to support and they sent some replacement units but the behavior is still the same. Sadly, I have 11 different plugs and all behave the same way.
