      Hi

We have an experimental testbed at UMass Amherst with a grid-tied solar system that we monitor using a CT that is setup as Solar/Generation and reports solar production accurately. We have an additional setup that can provide extra power (battery, hydro, etc…) that goes through an Emporia smartplug so that we can turn that additional source on/off. By default, every smartplug will meter energy as consumption (no option to set it up to generation like a circuit). If a smartplug is nested under the Solar circuit, the solar generation monitor is reset to zero and the smartplug production is shown as consumption (the whole solar section turns blue instead of green).

Would it be possible to have the smartplugs nested under Solar to count as a production and add the value to the main solar production number? Alternatively would it be possible to setup a smartplug to report values as production instead of consumption?

It would be nice if excess solar management could actually turn off smartplugs that are providing additional generation when generation exceeds demand too.

      Thanks for your help

      Emmanuel

So no one from Emporia actually reads those forums and provide support?
