Anyone else out there with a utility connect and pge seeing strange readings since yesterday evening?

Thanks to the utility connect I can see what my meter is reading any time and that’s helped to really understand our overall usage and what affects it like the oven or dryer.

So the strangeness that I’m seeing is that instead of any variation in usage, it just saying 662w for every second for over 12hrs now.  And i know this is not right  because when the oven is on it is at least 1500w and the dryer spikes to 6000w or more.  But instead, it is just 662w.

I initially thought this was something with the utility connect device so I unplugged it and plugged it back in.  But after going out to the meter itself, the meter itself was acting weird, so I’m suspecting this a pge problem and not with the utility connect.

So anyone else using a utility connect with pge and seeing weird numbers?

      Hi OP,

It could be a few things, such as be the meter itself, the connection meter to monitor, or something else.

We have many customers with PG&E and the Utility Connect and are not aware of a widespread issue at this time.

Please contact our support team team directly and we’d be happy to look into this from the Emporia side. Please reference this thread when you contact us for quicker support.
