I am wondering if Emporia will be offering their V2X Bi-Directional charger with a chademo connector. Currently I have not found a Bi-Directional charger in the US for my Nissan Leaf. Nissan nor any other vendor offers one in my area. The only Bi-Directional vehicle I know of that uses CCS Type 1 connector is the Ford Lightning and Ford provides a charger for their vehicle.
With Chademo going away in the US (no current new cars with the connector), I would say no. Will they have a bi-directional CCS type 1 charger – I believe that answer is yes. They have been working on something for awhile now – not clear how close to production ready it is, or what vehicles it supports. Kinda a chicken-and-egg thing, until the vehicles standardize on implementing a common protocol.
