Wifi issue during setup

Hello all.

 

I just got my Vue gen 2 installed, all wired in and hooked up.

I am having a issue during setup however…

It seems unable to get past the wifi screen. The Vue boots up and give a long beep, lights up green, and occasionally flashes green.

I am able to see it in the app, connect, and it reads the serial and other info, then goes to a screen that says it is gathering info on available wifi…

And it just hangs there, forever.

I have tried on both my phone, and from my tablet. I verified the app has all permissions available granted, I tried moving the antenna, I tried turning on my phones 2.4ghz hotspot and then tried again from my tablet. I have power cycled and rebooted my phone, tablet, and the Vue.

It never makes it past the wifi screen…

To be clear, I don’t even get to pick a network, it never gets that far, just says it’s gathering data on available wifi.

Any ideas?

I have a ticket in to support but it’s the weekend 🤷‍♂️

Did you ever get this resolved? I had a similar issue with my Emporia smart plug and I had to do the following:

* Set up passwordless guest network

* Turn off 5ghz

* Connect smart plug to passwordless guest network

Later I was able to connect it to a guest network with a password, but it doesn’t connect to my main network because there’s a space in the network name (I think).
