    @tedworksatemporia

    first off, great product!!! i just checked the accuracy and its 99.98 percent accurate, probably more but electricity company rounds to nearest kwh. they came up with 1476 and after downloading csv i came up with 1473.4666.

    and i fully understand why it don’t make since to have people accidently downloading years of data often, especially if there not paying a subscription. it costs way to much for the server load.

    but, there’s always a but, lol…..why have this level of accuracy and all this data, but no useful or working filters in your app?? most of the filters from graphs didnt add up and if you scrolled to the timeframe you couldnt click on the bar to get the actual number.

    basically if you just had one filter on your app.

    1 start time/date

    2 end time/date

    3 the device in question ex: frig ex: main etc

    4 the unit ex: dollars  ex: kwh etc

    those 4 questions then give the answer. then allot of these people wouldn’t needed to go threw all this work to get data then spend time manipulating it and overloading your servers.

    if you want examples of what dont make sense. i can give to you. or you could just add a calculator section with those 4 question, and give them the answer.

    understand some folks want to see trends for each circuit as well. you could also put a filter in the for how much each cuircut did each month, based off the bill cycle of electricity company.

    and if your looking for a way to generate more income for your company. i suggest charge 5 per month, low enough you shouldn’t get any complaints, for the extra detail features. then sweeten the deal with extended warranty for devices as long as you have the subscription for a certain amount of time. now you have reoccurring income from past customers to pay for the server load and future tweaks to the app. have a free version app which is the current way and a paid version that unlocks the features.
