Thanks, it would be nice to see an improvement here but I won’t get my hopes up. I appreciate the information, but I’m fully aware of being able to manually provide a flat rate. Like I said, there is no way to accurately set the rate since my average rate will always vary depending on usage.
As for downloading the CSV to make calculations afterwards? Again, I really appreciate the information and the effort to try finding a potential interim solution, but that’s more hassle than it’s worth. If I was going to go that route, I would still prefer to use an API that I could use to do the calculations programmatically.
KCole313Member@emporiainfo it’s been a while, and this was supposedly “on the radar”. Any updates on if this is being worked on, or if it’s at least on the roadmap?

Several rate changes throughout the day, weekends are different than weekdays, and Winter is different than Summer. I have the same frustration with the incorrect information provided by the OpenEl integration, while also having no way to accurately set the rates myself.
February 15, 2022 at 3:46 am in reply to: Allow option under management to disable the on/off feature of the smart plugs #8336 Report AbuseKCole313MemberAnother vote for this. I’m not as worried about accidentally turning outlets off in the app though. In my case, I also want to make sure none of my connected accounts (Google, Amazon, etc) turn certain devices off.
KCole313Member@marty-emporia any update on if this is still on the roadmap and if we can expect to see it any time soon?
I was just looking at my app today and noticed how much of my power usage falls under “Balance”. I was confused where all the power usage is coming from for a minute before I remembered a lot of my stuff is still on Kasa plugs. I have actually been converting a lot of things over but I Emporia doesn’t have a good solution to replace the power strip that Kasa has. Until then, I’ll never be able to move over to Emporia only devices.
KCole313Member+1 for this request.
Lack of SmartThings support is one of the features keeping me from investing more in Emporia products.
KCole313MemberCorrection, there are a few more Tuya based products available. I just tend to mentally filter Tuya stuff out. Either way, there aren’t a lot of good options and it would be great to see something from a company I already use and trust.
KCole313MemberAgreed, I would love to see this. I only know of 1 in-wall outlet (ConnectSense) on the market right now that monitors energy. I believe Currant claims to have one on the way, but it’s not out yet as far as I’m aware. I’d love to see more of these on the market, especially from a company I’m already using.
KCole313MemberJust another +1 for an API.
There must be some sort of API in place already. As others have pointed out, app is able to fetch data. Furthermore, I’m able to connect 3rd party services like Google and OhmConnect. If some documentation could just be released, that would be great!
KCole313MemberNew customer here. I just picked up a Vue Utility Connect energy monitor along with some Emporia smart plugs. Everything is working pretty well for me so far and I like how I’m able to nest the plugs under the monitor. However, I’d love to see an integration with some of the other energy monitoring plugs such as Kasa. I already have about 15 Kasa energy monitors and it would be awesome if I could pull that data into the Emporia app.
