I wish I had read this before purchasing this product. This is basically what these companies are doing. I think Sense makes more sense at this time even at double the price. I guess you get what you pay for.
Neat0MemberI’ll jump in here quickly but from what I have seen blue is just a background for the app, green I think it means energy generation, but it would be nice to have red for consumption, and different themes added because is kind of hard to distinguish the readings on a wide screen monitor.
Neat0MemberThis is just my 2 cents. It be nice to be able to change the color theme on the app and desktop, when I look at my desktop with my tired old age eyes is taking me a while to distinguish the data I’m looking for. A red color for usage and a green color for generation should do the trick for me. When I look at the list right now all the CTs 16 of them they look the same, all light blue and since they jump up and down is hard to keep track of the changes. It would be helpful to look at the table and see red numbers for consumption and green for generation. Also because I got a wide screen monitor the data is spread apart from one side of the screen to the other and makes it hard to land at the correct line, at least for me anyways since I use a PC for all Systems monitoring. Since I have 2 solar generators it would be a blessing.

I like to sit in my chair and monitor all the systems in my house, seems like Emporia is doing the same thing as any other cloud based service product. This is in my opinion a flaw, since you won’t have updated/current data in the event of an extended power outage. I have an Enphase PV system and they are also cloud based, this is one issue they have, when their servers have problems you are left in de the dark, happens quite a bit in our locality too and this is when you really need the service most. I use Emporia to monitor energy consumption during power outages is it the main reason why I bough it, since I have solar power generation it should work on my end but not sure if I will be able to get the current data if the cloud service goes down. There should always be a way to acquire your data locally. Just my 2 cents.
