Hi Guys,
Great product for this price range. I looked closely at the ‘other’ devices on the market, and was very skeptical about their abilities to ‘learn’ what loads I utilize. So, I’m thrilled with the implementation model you have adapted.
In addition to the other posts out there looking for an API, one thing that would be useful in the app is a graph function for the ‘balance’ of the loads. (ie. Mains minus the sum of the 8 channels). That value is calculated on the home page, but without data extraction and some Excel, we can’t get a good snapshot of the ‘balance’ in the time domain.
I have a crawlspace dehumidifier that is in my ‘balance,’ which has a load profile that is identifiable enough for me to pick out, so it would be nice to see that on the graph and then I could get a feel for its cycles/day usage.
Thanks for a great product!!

I also want the “Balance” entry to be graphed in Sec, Min, Hour, Day , Week and Month as all of the other loads are displayed.

@Karmon Korleski @cmiddlet87 having a graph option for the balance is on our roadmap for development. We hope to have this enhancement out later this year.

I’m a new Emporia Vue 3 user and not being able to graph/track/alert on the Balance circuit is certainly a miss and seeing comments from +4 years ago that it’s on the dev roadmap doesn’t give me positive vibes for seeing it soon.
Any updates?

Excellent news. I was going to request this feature.

I, too, eagerly await the ability to graph the “balance”
Thanks

Any updates on when we might see this?

This feature is still not implemented?
It would be extremely useful to see what times there were spikes in power usage to track down rouge devices.

It would also be useful to be able to graph total usage, in from grid and out to grid.

I too would like this.
currently debugging where a discrepancy is, and graphs are so much easier to understand when toggling all the circuits in my house to debug

I’ve been a user for about 6 hours now, and this was one of the features I immediately thought would have been included. Developers – please consider adding this soon.

This is a no-brainer. Can’t understand why there isn’t a graph for “balance”.

This is a very useful feature enabling a user to detect and understand sources of use that are difficult to track down.
It has been over 2.5 years since the first post on this topic and the promise that is would be implemented soon. This feature is not that hard, why has it taken so long to do something so obviously useful and easy to implement?

I too would like to request that the data items displayed are able to be (1) graphed and (2) included in the CSV export file.
I can see these in the App but cannot access the historic data which would be useful for analysis:
– In from Grid
– Out to Grid
– Total Usage
– Balance
Thank you!

I am not from Emporia but I am a new non-generation user in the US. In another thread I pointed out that these are likely values you can compute from the CSV output. You first need to look at your Mains value and see whether they are the In (positive?) or Out (negative?) values (I am guessing that is the case, rather than being Total Usage). And you look at the column(s) for your generation CT(s). Use those values to come up with missing values, which might need the sign changed as described in the recent bi-directional CT update.
So for example if the Mains in CSV ends up being the net value (positive meaning In from grid or negative meaning Out to grid), you add it and the generation CT for “Total Usage.” I am sorry that as a non-generation customer I can’t be sure of that terminology detail. Regarding Balance, it should be computed as something like Total Usage less all the non-generation CTs. As a fun exercise, if you know which phase your CTs are on then you can subtract the appropriate CTs from the appropriate Total and end up with multiple Balances (one balance for each phase). In my case I monitor almost all circuit usage so end up with Balances around .02 or .03 KWatts (near noise level).

+2 on this, unless I can only +1.
I spent a long time tracking down a balance issue on an Emporia setup. Being able to have balance graphed identically to any other circuit would have made the trend clear (it turned out to be a defective clamp meter on a device that operated only occasionally).PLEASE make “balance” a regular circuit.
