Vue gen 2 3-phase with only 2 phases (208Y/120)

Someone previously asked if the single-phase 240V Gen 2 vue was compatible with 208Y/120V service, and the official answer was no. https://community.emporiaenergy.com/topic/120-208-wye-installation-questions/

However, does the newer 3-phase Vue work in such a scenario? It would essentially be the same except with one of the phases missing/not installed.

The Emporia Gen 2 Vue 2 Energy Monitor works for 120/240V only.

Can it be installed on only two phases of a three phase service with one phase missing? Will it function correctly with one phase missing?

Hi,

No, the wire harness senses voltage and all calculations derive from each phase voltage sensing. You can monitor a dual pole breaker from a 3 phase system, but the device needs to be installed correctly accordingly to the number of phases of power in the panel. The installation has the details.
