I had the same issue and I think the problem was my main wifi name has a space in it. Does Emporia have plans to allow for special characters (or at least spaces) in wifi network names? I really don’t want to change my wifi network name and reconnect all my other 20+ devices just because Emporia doesn’t support my current configuration.

Did you ever get this resolved? I had a similar issue with my Emporia smart plug and I had to do the following:

* Set up passwordless guest network

* Turn off 5ghz

* Connect smart plug to passwordless guest network

Later I was able to connect it to a guest network with a password, but it doesn’t connect to my main network because there’s a space in the network name (I think).
