I have a 1957 built home with gas hydronic heat in the slab and second floor ceiling. I was able to get a heat loss figure in therms/degree day by using 24 months of utility bills.
PeterMemberThe air conditioner is a straight 240 volt load, it does not use a neutral.
The dryer has 120 volt coxntrol and drum motor and 240 volt heater, and requires a neutral for the 120 volts. The series CT does not see the correct load for just 120 volt use
September 5, 2022 at 8:04 pm in reply to: Real vs Apparent vs Reactive Power & why things dont add up in the app #8851 Report AbusePeterMemberSo, with the 127Y220 3 phase power, are these all 220 appliances? Or single phase units running on 127 volts?
If they are 220Volt units, then you should only be using 1 CT with a multiplier. You cannot use two CTs and add.
September 5, 2022 at 7:52 pm in reply to: How to properly monitor a 20/50 quadplex breaker? #8850 Report AbusePeterMemberThis is 3 circuits to the Vue. two separate 120 volt, with one CT each. one 240 volt circuit with one CT and a 2.0 multiplier.
April 4, 2022 at 11:37 am in reply to: 2 circuits showing very similar but not exact usage. #8441 Report AbusePeterMemberA ring circuit would do this, and the difference is from the load not being in the middle of the circuit. The wire closer to the fuse will show slightly higher current, but both wires will show matching load data.

PeterMemberHome assistant access is available, but you have to re-flash the ESP32 chip and loose all cloud access.

PeterMemberGreat feature, especially that you can just pick the utility and rate you are on.
Hope we can see use breakdown by rate catagory soon.
I’m, with Wisconsin Public Service, and have a 3 tier rate: base, off-peak, peak; also week day/ weekend & holiday.
