Being a Programmer and also familiar with the ESP32 chips (they are what is used in the Vue2) I sent an email to support to see if they needed some assistance in helping implement the Circuit Combining (2 pole)  feature and that I could offer my programming assistance to them.

    This was the reply:

    Hi Scott,
     Thanks for reaching out!
We are developing the Circuit Merging feature, it should be available for users in a couple of weeks now.
If you want to send your resume, please send, and I’ll pass along to the developers.

Let’s hope that the ‘couple of weeks’ will really be a couple of weeks!

Are you referring to that I have the different phrases going in opposite directions through the CT?

I’m not sure  how it determines the reference voltage to use for a CT, seems to always Be ‘A’  so ‘B’ is 180 out of sync from ‘A’ so if you put them though the CT in the same direction it will Subtract ‘B’ from ‘A’  If you put ‘B’ through the CT backwards, its then going in the same direction (flipped 180) though the CT as ‘A’

I also verified with my AMP Meter.

This can be for a 240 Double Pole, or two Singles on different Phases that you want to monitor as one.

Thank you.   Yes. I needed to run the L2 loads through the CT backwards.   I got out my Amp Meter and Measured.

    L1 Circuit is 3.0A
    L2 Circuit is 1.1A
Both Circuits are 1.9A, this was also the case from the App with the CT.

So it’s Subtracting the L2 Circuit from the L1 Circuit. Which makes sense that if the voltage from L2 is inverted from the reference voltage of L1, L2 would be negative current in reference to the L1 voltage. I ran the circuit on L2 through the CT backwards and in the App I get the 4.1 result that I should.  I did this with several Circuits that I could not move to the same phase and all seem to be reporting the proper current through them.

I’ve twisted my Blue and White Neutral leads together on all 5 of my panels and landed them in a single neutral screw. It should not be an issue.

I also have a Sub Panel that had an old Siemens Power Meter on it mounted in a 6x6x4 panel. I removed the meter and ran the connections through the chase and put the Vue in that enclosure.  You will need to be sure yours in Water Tight. Pump house Panel

I was told by Support that the innards of the 16 2.5mm ports are still rated at the 50A. So putting a 200A CT on it with an adapter wont work either.

Thank you, Yes, there are some Sub Panels that I’m monitoring, so they are not going to be balanced.
Some things like the MiniSplits, Steam Generator, Electric Range, Floor heating and my Single to 3 Phase Drives are all 240v, but use one leg for 120v Electronics. So I can get one leg at 0.5amps and the other at 0.0amps.  I know it’s not much, but there are slight differences.

So far I have 5 Panels with Monitoring units. 55 Circuit CTs installed. 25 are 120v Circuits. And 30 are for 15 240v Circuits.
I’ve would be great to be able to merge them.

    Thanks!

Any Update since August? I have many 240v devices.
Mini-Splits, Pumps (Well, Booster, Septic Pool), Steam Generator, radiant Floor Heater, Wood Shop Tools, EV Chargers.
Those all could get by with the multiplier, though would prefer the the merging on the 2 hot Leg Circuits.

I have 11 Sub Panels on the property, Its many of these sub panels that I cannot use the multiplier as the the 2 Hot Legs may or may not be 100% balanced at the Subpanel since they are then broken down into multiple 120v circuits.

For some I’ve just put another Vue in the Sub-panel. Though I’d prefer to just monitor the Sub-panel from upstream.
    I’m up to 5 Vue 2 units. )-:

And here I came to see if I could display Energy usage and run automations based on energy use, not actually controlling the outlet.
Guess neither are an option, Bummer.
