August 11, 2023 at 10:56 pm in reply to: Allow option under management to disable the on/off feature of the smart plugs #9760 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffTo ‘lock’ the plug in a certain state is a firmware update not an app update. The app does have the option to avoid turning the plug off by mistake by toggling the home screen control off in the app.
Tap the plug outlet Icon on the home page, then Confirm the Control from Home page is off. This will require the user to go through two steps to turn the plug off.
emporiacsEmporia StaffAt this time we only support on/off functionality.
emporiacsEmporia StaffHi,
That would not work because that’s not how the sensors work. More info here:

emporiacsEmporia StaffCircuit merging is a feature request on the top of our list! We are working on that to make it available soon!
emporiacsEmporia StaffCircuit merging and device grouping are two requested features from our customers and we’re working on making them available soon.
emporiacsEmporia StaffIf your graphs are showing the next month, it’s most likely because the billing date is set to the next month.
emporiacsEmporia StaffThat is not possible on the Emporia app, it’s a feature request and we’re working to make it available as soon as possible. Right now, on the Emporia app, the devices will show by chronological onboarding order, means if you onboard first the Vue 2, then the EV Charger then the Smart Plug, that’s exactly the order it’s going to show on the Emporia app.
August 3, 2023 at 2:46 am in reply to: How to categorize a bi-directional PV circuit? #9744 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffThe Vue Gen 2 is capable of net metering solar generation. The 200A sensors that are included with the device are directional and can measure any energy that is generated in excess of your consumption – as long as the sensors are installed between your utility meter and the solar input to your system. You can check out our Solar Supplemental Guide for more details on how the device needs to be installed to monitor a solar system.
You can also use the 50A sensors that come with the Gen 2 bundle to measure the amount of energy generated by your solar system (this is not required for net metering, though). Once setup, your Vue Gen 2 will show excess net generation as green numbers and green bars on the graphs. Net consumption will display as blue numbers and bars.
emporiacsEmporia StaffEmporia does not have any automation around spreadsheet analysis.

July 29, 2023 at 1:05 am in reply to: Can I create a “Fridge Door Open” alert on an Emporia Smart Plug? #9726 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffCurrently the only way to get notifications like this is to a custom notification based on time and energy thresholds.
Select Menu (☰) in top left corner
Select Notifications
Select Add Alert
Enter alert Name
Select the Device and Circuit to apply it to
Under Usage Threshold, select either Exceeds or Is Less Than or Equal To
Enter the kW amount and the duration values (quantity and time period)
Select Save. Once the criteria has been met you will receive a push notification on your deviceJuly 29, 2023 at 1:03 am in reply to: Emporia Web App – Where to adjust 20 minute timeout? #9724 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffFor the fastest support, please contact our support team via emporiaenergy.com/contact
