After installing solar in 2018 we started looking at Sense, which we started this energy journey with and found after Central HVAC water heating was the second most expensive thing we did here. We chose to migrate to LP gas using the tankless Rennnai whole house propane water heater and installed in the barn kitchen an Eemax ‘point of use’ 240VAC electric water. The combined electric savings of making this change paid for the new water heaters in just 16 months! So, I highly recommend the point of use and propane as the alternative to electric tank water heaters. To maintain a tank temperature all day for use when you shower once at night and do laundry every three days…. well, you see the point.
MP-RangerMemberIFTTT would be ideal for this as it is possible to integrate different websites and collate the results onto a single spreadsheet like Google Docs.

MP-RangerMemberHello, This is my introduction: I am Mark Mettler located in Stateboro Georgia. We (Ruth & I) are technically commercial farmers with 200A service on Excelsior EMC. I say technically because, it’s really retirement from commercial corporate IT with a retired corporate HR director. So, we both have time and energy to farm honeybees at BeeUtiful Bees in SE Georgia, USA. We are from the US and England. I was military before IT. We have been moitoring with Sense for two years and are tired of not being able to really identify all we are using, as Sense does algorithm ID and does not allow user input. We produce about 50% of our power use with solar. We are not currently monitoring solar with Emporia. Very tech-savvy and eggar to find out exactly what we are using power for in hopes of making better decisions.
