Hi OP,
We have had no reports of the sensors experiencing ‘cross talk’. You can always move the sensor or sensors farther appart to see if this remedy this issue. As for the alerts, we will need to access your account to look at the data logs to determine what is exactly going on, support should be reaching out to you shortly.
emporiacsEmporia StaffWe are aware of this amps issue, our amperage is being measured correctly, however, in the app, it’s being reported incorrectly due to a calculation issue. We’re working on correcting the issue in a future firmware update. Our power reading (watts) is still correct, if you can check the data in kWh, it’s accurate and within the ±2%.
emporiacsEmporia StaffWe always recommend a qualified professional install the Vue. Unfortunately we don’t have a recommendation for this specific install
July 11, 2023 at 1:51 pm in reply to: Does Reporting have an issue at the moment? #9694 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffWe haven’t had any reports of delays in our realtime data when looking at the app, if this continues please contact customer support and they can troubleshoot further. Contacting support directly will always be the quickest route for us to assist you best!

emporiacsEmporia StaffWe haven’t given up on this feature, and it is still planned to be released just as soon as possible.
We are doing our best to build the many feature enhancements on our roadmap – both those requested by our customers and those that will make Emporia the best Smart Home Energy Management service available. We maintain a very small development team in order to ensure this service remains free to you. Their priorities are often adjusted to fix critical customer facing issues or to build features that will have the broadest impact to our customer base. I will definitely pass your feedback on to the team. Rest assured, we have not lost track of this enhancement. To make sure you get emails when new features are announced, please make sure you are subscribed to our mailing list at http://eepurl.com/gxAMZv
We appreciate your support and understanding.

July 11, 2023 at 1:45 pm in reply to: Can I monitor mains power by summing circuits? #9690 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffHi,
There are various ways to solve for this it and will be best if you contact our support team directly so we can walk through the options.

844-EMPORIA (367-6742)Flexible sensors will be needed to monitor the main.
The 50A sensors and 2.5mm (side) ports will report accurately with high resolution between 0.04A – 75A (5W – 9000W). When you go below 0.04A, the readings will show ~0W. Although rated for 50A, you can use the CTs on breakers up to their 75A saturation point with a caveat. Up to 50A, they are linear — where the change in monitored current is equal to the change in sensed signal. Above 50A the linearity degrades until it reaches 75A, where the CT becomes “saturated” and the change in monitored current results in no change in the sensed signal. As you exceed 75A, the sensors and ports will reach saturation and will not report anything higher. Going above 75A does not pose any risk of damage to the device or sensors.
July 11, 2023 at 1:43 pm in reply to: Using tandem (2 1P) 15A breaker for red & black wires? #9689 Report AbuseemporiacsEmporia StaffIf both wires from the power harness are installed on a tandem that is on the same phase the software will detect an error. Two main sensors, one valid voltage. To correct that you will need to move the red wire one position(slot) up or down. Attached is an example of single-phase tandem breakers.
emporiacsEmporia StaffWe do not sell extension cables for our sensors, but they can be extended with standard audio extension cables. We recommend staying under 20ft in length to prevent any loss in reading accuracy.
200A (3.5mm jacks) extensions
50A (2.5mm jacks) extensionsemporiacsEmporia StaffYes, you can use the Emporia EV Charger without WiFi connection with a maximum charge rate of 40A.
Without WiFi connection, the user will not be able to control the charger from their phone using the Emporia app, will not see the energy consumption for the charger, will not have a charge history, or be able to use excess solar energy or energy management functionalities.emporiacsEmporia StaffUnfortunately, right now, the Emporia app does not offer a way of adding circuits together. It’s a very common feature requested by our customers, and we’re working on that to be launched in a future firmware update, but we still don’t have an ETA for that functionality.
emporiacsEmporia StaffWe will get this added to the list of feature requests.
emporiacsEmporia StaffHi, sorry to hear your support request has taken longer than expected.
Expediting this thread to support again. Thanks for your patience.
