This “Voltage” thread was started 07/2021.
That tells you the urgency by Emporia.
As posted by Isr (10/02/2023) with the circuit board pics, we would have to buy new hardware to get “Voltage” it appears.

Hey VA Sunflower…
You asked
I want to post in the Hardware & Installation forum, but instead of seeing the comment posting box (like I am typing in now), I just get fields to enter my User ID & password. If I enter them, it just takes me back to the main “Emporia Energy Community” page. And if I click back to Hardware & installation, I still get the User ID & password fields.
I see “The forum ‘Support Center’ is closed to new topics and replies.” message, so has it been shut down?
Yep, I have emailed Emporia directly many times over the years and never got a reply about the “LOGIN ISSUE.”
And… the “Support Chat Popup” is always OFFLINE.

You referenced this statement:
“…however, our software, hardware, and business is developed around the collection and analytics of energy data in the cloud”
An Emporia employee posted, in this forum, the full statement on MAY 12, 2020 that you pulled that sentence from.
Yep, not much has changed…..

“However I try to see them in the orginal post and it’s blocked. It says I must be logedin but I am. I am able to create a new post and it works.”
I wrote to INFO@EmporiaEnergy.com many many many months ago about the same thing. I’m logged in but when I try to post it says “I must be logged in”.
I never heard back.
The more comments that are posted here, the more it seems obvious that Emporia does not monitor their forum. WTH ? ?
April 12, 2023 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Main Panel External Install in Plastic Box OK? #9500 Report AbusewaterboyzMemberThis was posted recently by Victor S on 04/02/2023:
I got a 6″x6″x4″ PVC junction box and used two short 1″ conduit pieces to connect it to the load center. 1″ conduit is just big enough for the ell-shaped CT plugs to wiggle through even when you already have seven. 1.25″ would probably be easier.
I decided to route the Vue’s power wires through a separate 3/4″ conduit to avoid a possible code violation from overfilling the conduit. I think the CT cables can reasonably be called “data cables” so conduit fill isn’t a problem for them.
April 12, 2023 at 9:11 pm in reply to: Sharing my solution for mounting the Emporia Vue 2 #9498 Report AbusewaterboyzMemberI’d be concerned about the crossover of the backplane buss mid-panel AND at the bottom.
I have a 42-circuit panel that has a lot of tandem breakers so lots and lots of wires make it pretty full PLUS the 32 CTs. I have to use an extra large box and the 1-1/2″ or 2″ pipe.
waterboyzMemberThe readings are cloud-based. Unless you have access to the cloud while on the generator, you will see nothing.
If you want to see what the generator is doing you will have to buy additional equipment that is wired.
waterboyzMemberYep, here is my Rat’s Nest.
February 26, 2023 at 12:33 am in reply to: Main Panel External Install in Plastic Box OK? #9390 Report AbusewaterboyzMemberI don’t see why not. I have two units for the panel and it is VERY crowded. I have considered running the CT wires through an approved grommet out the bottom of the panel box where the Emporia boxes will be supported.

I sorta understand your question but also I’m confused.
Are you trying to use the Emporia on the commercial side of the incoming utility power? Or you asking about the setup in the condo itself? Some times there are misunderstandings of electricity terminology.

waterboyzMemberI went through multiple problems trying to get my SmartPlugs to connect. I kept getting stuck at that process of “Updating” and it would just hang. After getting frustrated I just gave up on the last two. The next day those two were connected and all four are fine. I posted my experience here somewhere.
April 17, 2021 at 4:39 am in reply to: Appliance-specific labeling (not just circuit-specific) #7293 Report AbusewaterboyzMemberI have my entire panel on a spreadsheet. But, since the description field is so tiny I’m not able to identify what is on the general circuits as reported by Emporia. I have 2 units in my panel so most of the important circuits are monitored.
waterboyzMemberMaybe adding a “Back” button cost too much.
I really like the stuff but I sometimes wonder what meeting was skipped.
April 17, 2021 at 4:31 am in reply to: Please add circuit types “Lighting” and “Outlet” #7291 Report AbusewaterboyzMemberThey have settings for:
- Gallons Of Gas
- Car Miles
- Carbon
- Trees
BUT not enough of the circuit types…..makes no sense at all.
waterboyzMemberI also installed BlueStacks just for this purpose. It works just fine.
waterboyzMemberI’d probably buy more Smart Plugs from Emporia if I could see and control them in my SmartThings Hub.
