I came back to this forum to ask about adding days/times to alerts.
Alert me if total consumption exceeds x on MWF between 3pm and 5pm, this logic should not be a huge life to implement.

7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberPeter,
If you are going to trash it, could you send them my way, please?
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberAnd here we go again…
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberWould love to see a picture.
I am going to look for a used Orbit box and see if someone is getting rid of one
January 28, 2022 at 10:49 pm in reply to: Dryer – 240v circuit (using multiplier) on ‘wrong leg’ #8301 Report Abuse7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberSteve, I too am waiting for Emporia to fix the issues with 2 units on one panel and suming multiple CTs. As soon as these features are released I will be buying a second unit.
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberHave you seen any improvement on the app/UI for 2 VUEs on the same panel?
January 8, 2022 at 12:37 am in reply to: Are balanced loads (on a double pole breaker) always balanced? #8198 Report Abuse7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberNo, loads are not necessarily perfectly balanced.
As an example, on my electric dryer both legs are used by the heating element, but only one leg is used by the motor. The result is that one leg has a higher load than the other.
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberI am so jealous of all you guys with panels inside your house (and lucky enough to have a basement). Here in AZ basements are a luxury item, and our panels are outside. My panel can reach 160+ in the heat of the summer. It makes it hard to play with sensors during the day, and at night it is hard to work in the dark.
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberplayfair – I am sure you know this, but going to mention it for anyone else who sees this:
When combining loads on a single CT, make sure you combining loads on the same phase. Most panels (at least in my area) alternate phases as you go down the breakers. If you join adjacent loads (different phases) they will cancel each other out.
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberCheck out visable (it is based on the VZW network) and pretty cheap.
They don’t officially support mifi hotspots, but I was able to take an old Galaxy S9 (some people have reported success with even older devices), and turn it into a hotspot.
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMember7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberHi all-
I will admit I am here for some serious handholding (sorry in advance).
1. I am wondering if PyEmVue would allow me to retrieve minute interval data that is more than 7 days old, that is as far back as I can go in the app.
2. Could I get some help getting this up and running?
a. I have a clean Ubuntu 21.04 VM up and running with Python 3.9.5
b. I have run python3 -m pip install pyemvue and got all the dependencies
c. how do I use the command now? Anytime I try Python says it can’t find the module.
Thank you all
7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberThis weekend I noticed that there is now an option to select your utility and rate plan and use an open source service called openEI.org for rate information.
June 9, 2021 at 3:30 am in reply to: Can the Gen2 Vue be installed on a breaker larger than 15A? #7551 Report Abuse7_2kW_in_Mesa_AZMemberThe vendors response is through and complete, I just wanted to add I am using 2 20A (unoccupied) as I already had them in my panel.
Do not use a tandem or two pole breaker.
