Hi @docderwood we are working on the ability to aggregate and combine multiple Vue’s into one load reading. We hope to have this available within the next couple of months.
Marty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHello Everyone!
Breaking out phase detail is a feature is on our roadmap, but right now we don’t have a specific release date. We appreciate everyone’s feedback and hope you all understand that we’re working very hard to prioritize the many enhancements that have been requested.
Marty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHello @madoues, the 200A sensor can be used in the expansion port, however, you would need to change the multiplier in the app under that circuit from 1 to 4 to compensate for the different calibration.
October 13, 2020 at 7:37 pm in reply to: Emporia Vue Utility Connect Energy Monitor reading 24% high… #6464 Report AbuseMarty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHello @e2russ,
Thanks for reaching out to the forum and bringing this to our attention. We will look into this for you. If you haven’t already done so, could you please email support@emporiaenergy.com so we can pull up your account and look at the raw data to determine why are readings are not the same as PG&E.
Marty @EmporiaEmporia Staff@Gwrapps, Great to hear you are looking for more coverage! Our development team is working on a software enhancement within the Emporia app that will allow you to combine multiple Vue’s circuits.
As for 240v circuits the above enhancement will allow you to combine the usage into one value.
Keep an eye out for our email updates on the most recent app enhancements.
October 8, 2020 at 6:49 pm in reply to: No space inside. Install unit outside breaker panel? #6450 Report AbuseMarty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHello @madoues,
Customers have installed their Vue outside of the panel as you can see an example below. The only question I have is how you will power the Vue, with the Vue we do need to be able to measure voltage from both of your phases. It sounds like you are going to power the Vue through a 120v/240v outside plug. As long as you have both the Black and Red connected to each phase of your panel this will be fine.
You can also use audio cable to extend the length of the sensors if you need. We do not sell them, but they are very commonly found on various web sites. 200A sensors have 3.5 mm jack/port and the 50A sensors have 2.5mm jack/port.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
October 2, 2020 at 6:26 pm in reply to: 8 Sensors exceeding power draw of Main sensors #6444 Report AbuseMarty @EmporiaEmporia Staff@bedpan this is most likely due to the multiplier you have on the dryer circuit. Please see below, which can be found https://emporiaenergy.com/gen-2-faq/
While some 240V circuits have a balanced load, they can also be different. This causes the multiplied value reported to be greater than the total actual load.
For example, the heating element of an electric dryer might be on one leg and the tumbler motor could be on the other. If you are monitoring the tumbler leg and the dryer heating element goes off, you might see an overstated value due to the multiplier.

September 8, 2020 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Huge Wattage spikes throwing off the graph scale #6370 Report AbuseMarty @EmporiaEmporia Staff@sdtriathlete per our chat, this spike has be corrected in your app. This was corrected with a Firmware fix so if you see it again, please reach out to our support team again.
Marty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHello @jc523 glad your interested in upgrading from the Gen 1 to the Gen 2!
The Antenna and 200A sensors can be used with the Gen 2, while the biggest change is the jacks for the 50 A sensors on the Gen 2 are 2.5 mm vs 3.5 mm. Please reach out to us if you have more questions about upgrading you Emproia Vue
September 8, 2020 at 11:43 pm in reply to: Hide inactive circuits on the Home screen? #6368 Report AbuseMarty @EmporiaEmporia Staff@OneMan this is something we can take a look at to improve the user experience. Thanks for sharing your feedback on how the app might be improved.
Marty @EmporiaEmporia StaffHi Sai,
At this time we do not have a list of certified installers in the Seattle area. Hopefully in the future we will be able to accommodate such a request.
